The hotel's decoration was absolutely charming, with a touch of old-world elegance that made me feel like I was staying in a historical mansion. The general areas were well-maintained and beautifully furnished, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. As a senior woman, I appreciated the hotel's accessibility, with convenient ramps and elevators that made it easy for me to navigate the building without any difficulties.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is a more visible presence of the staff. Sometimes, it was hard to find someone to assist with small requests or provide information.

A microwave, an electric kettle, and fridges etc were much appreciated. Rooms were absolutely brilliant with 1 double bed and 1 sofa bed...

The hotel had a charming and cozy decoration, with beautiful traditional Portuguese tiles that reminded me of my childhood. The common areas were well-maintained and easily accessible for senior people. I felt at home and comfortable during my stay.
It would have been nice if the children working there had provided some assistance or organized activities specifically catered to senior people.

We had an incredible stay in the heart of the historical district, close to all the main attractions. the apartment was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. the bathroom was modern and the service provided by Florinda and her family was exceptional. We even had a terrace with breathtaking views of the city and the riverfront. the location couldn't have been better, with cute restaurants tucked away in the winding streets.
The apartment did not provide basic supplies like hand wash and cooking oils, requiring us to make a quick shop on arrival.

We had a fabulous stay at a well-located, spotlessly clean apartment in Porto. The owner, Florinda, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and even left thoughtful gifts for us. The terrace with its stunning views added a special touch to our stay. Although there were a few minor inconveniences like low water pressure and a need to go to the owner's shop for supplies, they did not overshadow the exceptional customer service and warmth from Florinda. I highly recommend Douro Virtudes Apartments Historical Center.

The apartment at Douro Virtudes was cozy and comfortable, with a nice seating area where I could relax after a long day of exploring Porto. The kitchenette was handy, and having a toaster, kitchenware, and an oven made it easy for me to prepare my own meals. The private bathroom was clean and well-equipped, and the shower had good water pressure. I felt right at home during my stay.
Maybe it's just me, but I would have preferred if the room had a bathtub instead of just a shower. While the shower was perfectly fine, there's something about taking a nice relaxing bath that adds an extra touch of luxury to a vacation.
